My name is Austin Millet.  In June of 2011, I left the United States to teach English as a second Language in Georgia.  Before I made this move, I was a writer in Chicago, and before that a student of literature at the University of Illinois.

I am using this blog as a journal of my time here in Georgia as well as something of a notebook for my reading while here.  I will be using my free time here to read as much of the English canon as I can, so many of the entries of this blog will be entries in my least-transient notebook to date—as well as my most intransigent.

Hope you’re cool with that.
